# Fire safety training

PAP Group’s fire safety training helps staff prepare for emergencies and strengthen their own safety skills. In TAITO training services, training is tailored to the site’s operations, its staff and the safety technology in use.

Training starts from the everyday work of the staff: what situations might arise in the working environment, and what skills are needed to deal with them? We offer individual courses and training packages covering several topics. Ask us, and we will tell you more about the content and delivery of the training.

## Basic fire extinguishing training

Basic fire extinguishing training is intended for staff who need to recognise the dangers of a fire in its early stages and what they themselves can do. The training covers the principles of first-aid firefighting and the first-aid firefighting equipment on site.

The aim is to strengthen people’s ability to act in a considered way in the early stages of a fire. The arrangements for practical exercises, the training venue and any other arrangements are agreed when the quotation is prepared.

## Fire alarm system custodian training

The training is aimed at the people who look after the fire alarm system, i.e. [fire alarm system custodians](https://pap.fi/en/sanasto/#fire-alarm-system-custodian) (the persons designated by the site to be in charge of the system), and their deputies. Topics include the site’s system, the tasks of the person in charge and the procedures for fire alarms and fault warnings.

The content is tailored to the fire alarm system in use and to the participants’ existing knowledge. The training supports day-to-day management of the system and helps identify situations in which maintenance or other expert help is needed.

## Escape and evacuation drills

A drill helps staff become familiar with the site’s procedures and prepare for leaving the building. The planning of the drill takes into account the property’s operations and the objectives of the drill.

The training quotation describes the objectives of the drill, the participants and the practical arrangements. The drill is linked to the property’s operations and to the situations for which the staff need to be prepared.

## System training

System training familiarises participants with the site’s safety technology and its use. It is suitable, for example, in connection with commissioning a new system or when the responsible persons change.

Tell us about the systems in use and whether the participants need a basic induction or to supplement their existing skills.

## Panasonic partner training for installation companies

We organise free Panasonic partner training for installation companies and contractors. The basic course introduces Panasonic fire alarm equipment, and the advanced course focuses on programming and system integration.

## Other safety courses

### General safety training

Training tailored to the site’s operations helps participants understand safety risks, shared procedures and the role of staff in exceptional situations.

### Hazardous substances response

The training covers the risks associated with hazardous substances and the principles of working safely. The topics are chosen based on the substances and activities present in the working environment.

### Hot work safety training

The training supports understanding of the risks and safety arrangements associated with hot work. A suitable training format and any qualification objective are determined at the quotation stage.

### Occupational safety card training

Ask about occupational safety card training (the Finnish *Työturvallisuuskortti*) for your staff. Practical arrangements, participation requirements and how the card is obtained are explained for each course.

### First aid training

First aid training strengthens staff’s ability to deal with situations requiring first aid. The level and delivery of the training take into account the participants’ previous knowledge and their working environment.

## Led by experienced trainers

PAP’s trainers have experience in rescue services, safety technology and emergency medical care. The perspective of the training is tailored to the skills your staff actually need.

## Ask about training

We are happy to tell you more about the content, delivery and duration of the training. Training is always tailored to the needs of the site and the participants, so the details are agreed together.

## Request a training quote for your site

Tell us the training topic, the site’s operations, the estimated number of participants and the preferred date. Please also mention the current safety technology and previous training. With this information, we can propose a suitable package.
